How many people are needed for a band?

Is a guitar, drummer, and bass player enough? Do you need a vocalist (playing no instrument), in addition to the mix? Do you need a rhythm guitarist and lead guitarist like the Beatles? Do you need a keyboardist?

Yeah, I agree. It's pretty much what is needed for at least some of the songs. That's true unless you plan to bring in extra musicians, just for certain songs.

It depends on what a band is looking for & the songs they are creating. If they can find people to play various instruments & all can get along with being on the similar path. As for a singer, more bands than not have a singer. I prefer to listen to music with lyrics instead of just the instrumental version.
