What's your opinion about rap songs?

There are some people who are now saying that rap songs are dying little by little. I am trying to understand what they meant, but one thing that I am very sure of is that I still enjoy classical rap songs. Do you believe rap songs are dying?

I used like the usuals in college, Drake, Kanye, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Mac Miller, Wiz Khalifa... but not so much anymore

This isn't a recent phenomenon, it's been said for ages.

Basically any time the genre/style they like isn't popular anymore and is overtaken by one they don't like, it's ruined now. When rap (or any genre in general) has been ruined has shifted the next generation of people that grew up with the formerly hated one are now the average fan.

I'm not sure about hip-hop, but rock or country heard on the radio doesn't do it for me anymore.

I don't listen to much rap at all and I never have really. I like a few songs by Eminem, but only a few. I think there will always be a select group that likes the music and it will continue to flourish in some areas of the world.

They have a lot of obscenity. It makes for hypocritical parenting. In fact, I would lose all moral ground if my child knew I liked it.
